State of the Word - Takashi Irie

State of the Word is an annual presentation by Matt Mullenweg, the co-founder of WordPress and the founder of Automattic.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it to San Francisco but I’m very happy to be introduced as a contributor in his presentation and seeing the new default theme, Twenty Fifteen I designed.

Congratulations on your Twenty Fifteen theme design Takashi; that alone persuaded me to spend some of my holiday rebooting my blog, which has been long neglected and was based on a child theme (a similarly ‘light’ theme I think, so perhaps not such a big transition). As is often the case (not only in design) ‘less is more’.
